OWNER & LEAD DIAGNOSTICIAN
Growing up in the automotive industry, Sage began working in his family’s repair shop at just 14 years old, continuing a tradition that started with his grandfather’s service station and later his father’s repair shop. Today, he is focused on building Mouton’s One Stop Engine Shop into one of Acadiana’s most trusted independent repair facilities.
Sage specializes in advanced vehicle diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, drivability concerns, and automotive technology. Committed to continuous education and investing in professional diagnostic equipment, his goal is to accurately diagnose today’s increasingly complex vehicles while delivering honest recommendations, quality repairs, and exceptional customer service.
Robert “JR” J.
Lead Technician
JR brings over 10 years of professional automotive repair experience to Mouton’s One Stop Engine Shop. He specializes in routine maintenance, brake and suspension repairs, cooling system service, engine replacements, and small engine repair. Known for his dependable workmanship and attention to detail, JR takes pride in completing every repair correctly while providing customers with honest, reliable service they can trust.
Richard M.
Performance & Classic Car Consultant
Richard Mouton brings 47 years of automotive experience to the Mouton family legacy. Throughout his career, he has built and raced performance vehicles, rebuilt countless engines, and developed extensive expertise in classic cars, performance upgrades, and complex mechanical repairs.
Today, Richard serves as a technical consultant for Mouton’s One Stop Engine Shop, providing guidance on engine rebuilds, performance applications, and specialized projects. His decades of experience help ensure the same craftsmanship and attention to detail that have defined the Mouton name for generations.

When the Problem Isn't Obvious, Accurate Diagnosis Matters.
Mouton’s One Stop Engine Shop is built on three generations of automotive service. Our family’s history in the industry began with my grandfather, who owned a local service station, followed by my father, who owned the mechanic shop that today has become Mouton’s One Stop Engine Shop. I started working in that shop at just 14 years old, learning the value of honest work, quality repairs, and treating customers with respect.
Today, we’re carrying that tradition forward by combining those values with modern diagnostic technology and continuous training. From routine maintenance to complex engine, electrical, and drivability repairs, our goal is simple: diagnose vehicles accurately, repair them correctly, and earn our customers’ trust for life.
